call for manuscripts

Submissions:

We at Arrowstork Press, with the help and financial support of our good friends at DG Creative, LLC, hereby announce a call for manuscripts. They may be submitted via agent or unagented—as you like—in one of the following categories: Literary Fiction; Noir; Sci-Fi; Fantasy, History; Essays, etc. In short, just about anything, as long as it’s really, really good. So shoot the censor in your soul, stop looking over your shoulder and describe the world exactly as you see it, cultural gatekeepers be damned!

For our inaugural season, Spring-Summer 2026, we will publish four titles, beginning with acclaimed author Robert Girardi’s Extravagant People, a riveting and timely noir tale about a man who’s fallen so far there’s no place to go but up.

Arrowstork Press is accepting work in English in any genre except poetry, as long as it’s good. No works written by or with the use of AI will be accepted. In fact, if we determine that AI has been used in the composition of your submission (and yes, we’ll know) we will hunt you down and force you to read Middlemarch or maybe Finnegans Wake three times without coming up for air.
Manuscripts between 50,000 and 150,000 words must be submitted electronically only as an email attachment to the following address: lgirardi@aol.com. In the body of the email describe yourself and your project in a short statement.
Manuscripts must be submitted as Word documents in Times New Roman 12 point, with 1.5 spaces between lines, and page numbers set at the center bottom. The name and e-mail address of the author must be listed on the title page.
